In response to the staff question: How would you say that IDYCA has impacted your life?

“It’s had the most positive and the most powerful impact in my life. I came in barely being able to speak to a teacher and failing speech but I left I left with speaking in front of the squadron every week. It pushed me so far out of my comfort zone and turned me into a whole different person. I’ve never had so much confidence in my ability’s until I graduated from there. At first I was embarrassed of saying I failed school so bad that I got sent to military school but the second I finished I was proud to say I strived [sic] there and became the best version of myself. It was the best experience in my life and it’s something I will never forget.”

When asked if staff could share her response: “Please do! They have no idea how thankful I am for them. They encouraged me the whole way through. I wanted to go home soo bad but they pushed me to stay and I because executive, a leader and I have them to thank”.
