Mentor Requirements
In order to apply to be a Mentor for a Cadet, you must meet the following requirements:
- Same Gender as Cadet
- Over the age of 25
- Non-Family Member
- Cannot live in the same household as the Cadet
- Live in close proximity to the Cadet’s hometown
- Willing to complete ONLINE training and attend ONSITE Mentor Training, at Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy.
- Committed to maintaining Mentor Relationship and IDYCA reporting standards monthly for the entire 17 ½ months (5 ½ months Residential Phase and 12-month Post-Residential Phase).
