Mentor Training

mentors-make-differenceOur Mentors are not “rookies.” They are positive, energetic people, who know the value of preparation. We have a strong curriculum, with both Online and Onsite components. Ten (fifteen-minute) web-based e-learning modules are available below for your convenience. Follow the simple steps below to complete the Online Training, submit your answers, and then report your readiness for Onsite Training, which will be scheduled at various locations throughout the state. E-learning takes about two-and-a-half hours total, but can be broken into smaller, fifteen-minute blocks. It should be completed prior to attending the Onsite Mentor Training.

Complete your Online training first (below), and then plan to attend one of our Onsite Mentor Training sessions. (Dates/Time/Locations for Onsite Mentor Training sessions are listed on the Calendar of Events page or by contacting the IDYCA Mentor Coordinator, Dan Drover at (208) 464-1467 or [email protected].)

TIP: Before starting your Online Training, we strongly encourage you to download and print the Mentor Training Question Sheet, to complete as you go through the Training Modules.

TIP: If you have any trouble viewing the training videos on our website, they are also available on our YouTube channel: YouTube Mentor Training Videos
